Duties & Responsibilites :	Job Description: DB2 DBA Seeking: Experienced DB2 Z/os VERSION 9 Development Database Administrator (DBA).  Various stages of this project are currently underway. Education: 4-yr College Degree preferably Information Systems, Computer Science or related field Required Skills: - Minimum of 5 years of DBA Z/os  include the following: Logical and physical database design, PL/SQL Internal Stored procedure creation and modification Proven ability to investigate and analyze problems using Performance Tools, such as IBM query monitor, Omegamon for DB2 Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, system DBA-™s, managers, and subject matter experts. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to be adaptive to different work assignments as well as adaptive to work with different groups of people. - Strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus. - Available for off hours work and on call support  Knowledge of following tools: - IBM DB2 ADMIN TOOL, IBM High performance unload, Omegamon XE, Query Monitor, $AVRS, Control M, ISPF, TSO, JCL, DataStudio - DB2/ZOS experience Version 9 - Will be responsible for preparing for DB2 10 New Function mode - Development experience for DRDA Distributed application using JBOSS or JAVA - Strong relational database concepts - Relational Data Modeling and Logical Database Design - Physical Database Design and Implementation - Performance tuning, including individual query tuning, indexing Position Responsibilities: - Creation and maintenance of Database Management Systems - Creation of databases and database objects including synchronizing between environments. - Logical and Physical Database Design - Collaborate with the technical teams to assist with problem and performance resolution - Regularly monitor the database to identify potential problems - Assist with various development tasks Optional:-  Experience working in IBM environment a plus
