| Duties & Responsibilites : | Description:-
The desired candidate will be responsible for design, development, testing, maintenance and support of an Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Informatica base enterprise business intelligence solution. The candidate will estimate projects, provide knowledge transfer to other developers and will work closely with business analysis to help translate user requirements into BI solutions. Candidate must have strong report and Informatica mapping development, Informatica workflow run capabilities and experience with OBIEE/Informatica design and implementation.
Other responsibilities include:-
- Design and develop OBIEE user interface objects (e.g. reports, dashboards, etc.)
- Design and develop OBIEE metadata/logical data models (RPD)
- Translate BI requirements into analytic BI subject areas
- Determine requirements for aggregate tables
- Work with customers and business analysts to understand and develop reporting and BI requirements.
- Actively participate in design and analysis sessions to ensure sound team decision-making
- Support system and user acceptance testing activities, including issue resolution.
- Complete technical documentation to ensure system is fully documented
- Mentor and train IT staff by sharing best practices and lessons learned from past implementation efforts
- Good working knowledge and experience with ETL/Data integration using Informatica
- Design and develop Extract Transform and Load (ETL) and Data Integration (ETL) solutions for complex functional and technical requirements using Informatica PowerCenter Version 9.0 and 9.1.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Data Warehousing (DWH) and ETL concepts, ETL loading strategy, Data archiving, Data reconciliation, ETL Error Handling, Error logging mechanism, standards and best practices.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in design and development of Informatica based solutions.
- Very strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
Required Qualifications:-
- 5 years experience developing Business Intelligence solutions using Oracles OBIEE product.
- 2 years experience developing Informatica solutions.
- Demonstrated skills with business process modeling and requirements definitions
- At least 2 full OBIEE implementations including all phases (requirements, design, construction, implementation) of the system development lifecycle including maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE admin/metadata tools, security, user interface design, development and deployment of dashboards, analytics and performance management reports
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are required
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or seven to 10 years of IT related experience.
- Proven ability and desire to mentor/coach others in a team environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving and presentation skills.
