Senior Systems Engineer This position prefers a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience and requires 7 to 10 years of IT work experience. Requires prior management, supervisory, or team leader experience. Additional Requirements (highly desirable and high priority):
• 3 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area” experience leading technical teams in the installation, maintenance and configuration of JBOSS SOA-P platform.
• 3 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) experience developing complex computer systems using JON.
• 3 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area” experience administering a large scale JBOSS architecture.
The scope of work associated with this project follows the MDIT SUITE Methodology. This covers the entire software maintenance life cycle to include initiation, requirements, analysis, design, construction, test, implementation, and closeout.
This project will not include governance or management. TASKS: Technical support is required to assist with the following tasks (In a production environment): JBOSS enterprise middleware installation JBOSS enterprise middleware configuration and maintenance JBOSS Operation Network daily monitoring and incident management Technical Requirements Elicitation Requirements Dependency Analysis and Estimation Technical Design DELIVERABLES: Deliverables will not be considered complete until the Agency Project Manager has formally accepted them. Deliverables for this project include: JBOSS SOA-P product configuration and administration Systems-wide JBOSS standard implementation expertise Feasibility Plans Unified Modeling Language Diagrams System Impact Document Application Code Release Notes Training Guides Installation Checklist Issue Log Entries
Required Experience
- 3 years experience as a JBOSS middle ware administrator.
- 3 years experience using JBOSS Operations Network (JON) software 3 years experience installing java programs to an Enterprise Application Server
- 3 year experience managing software on a Unix server
- 1 year Unix Server administration
