Duties & Responsibilites :	Client is in need of a Senior ASP.NET MVC Developer to do a mixture of designing, developing and maintaining tools on the company's intranet, extranet and other agency websites. This Senior ASP.NET Developer's priorities will be delivering software engineering designs and programs for new and existing products, identifying data needs, including access, security, and quality and maintenance requirements and recommending design alternatives, considering benefits and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of business needs. Applicants must have7+ years of software development experience and 2 years of leadership experience, proven ability of structure analysis and technical design techniques, database, file access methods, OO programming experience, including C# experience in developing web based applications, excellent oral and written communication. Role Overview for Senior ASP.NET Developer: • Provides practical, expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and the implications of each approach, participating and many times leading phases of the software development cycle • Delivers software engineering designs and programs for new and existing products (enhancements and new product development) that meet business needs • Identifies data needs, including access, security, and maintenance requirements. Influences and clearly relates technical alternatives to business objectives, using effective communications with customers. • Recommends design alternatives, considering benefits and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of business needs • Other duties as assigned Qualifications for Senior ASP.NET Developer: • Proven ability in one or more programming languages (C# preferred) and development tools • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC • Proven ability in developing applications using relational databases using defensive coding techniques. • SQL Server 2005-2012, database design, Transact-SQL programming • Working knowledge on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services • Knowledge of XML, HTML, CSS, and _javascript_ • Development tools including Visual Studio .NET (2008 * 2012) • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle standards Pluses: • .Net Framework 4.5/Visual Studio 2012/SQL Server 2012 • Entity Framework, Object relational mapping (ORM) • Java and JEE technologies like JSP and Struts • Telerik RAD controls and/or DevExpress • Online payment processing and PCI compliance knowledge Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating: C# ASP.NET Required 5 Years    ASP.NET MVC Required 1 Years    SQL Server 2005-2012, database design and Transact-SQL Required 7 Years    SOA Architecture and web service Required 5 Years   XML, HTML, CSS _javascript_ Required 7 Years   Visual Studio .NET (2005-2012) Required 7 Years
