The Lead Developer responsibilities includes the integration and design of new application systems and/or life-cycle enhancement to existing complex multi-platform (.NET). Responsible for determining the scope of the assigned project(s) by assessing Requirements from business and technical/network personnel. Responsible for evaluation and selection of the appropriate technical platform for the system. Work will include integration planning, integration analysis across multiple technical platforms, integration analysis across to included both global system design and detailed program design for complex processes or interfaces, review of database design of new data structures, and suggested modifications to existing data structures. Effectively documents and teaches the structure and function of the new application and/or enhancements resulting from the assigned project(s) to other Web Application Managers and senior technical personnel to insure that the new systems or enhancements operate smooth environment. Lead WAS staff members to develop common standards and procedures for system design and programming, component and system optimization a ands tuning, database design to insure the integrity and high quality, data optimization and tuning.
The selected candidate day to day activities will include 20 % leadership, 70% design/analysis, coding, 10% help desk support. Candidate will be able to work with a diverse project team, and work in a highly visible and changing project environment with aggressive timelines.
Qualifications:-
• Working as a dedicated team member and demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate with other team members• six + years experience using the following technologies: Visual Basic, COM+, OLE DB, MS Host Integration Server 2000,ADO.NET,Classic ASP.
• Extensive experience in large-scale application architecture, design, and development using major tools such as ASP.NET 2003,2005,2010.
• 4+ years of design concepts -- Layered architecture, components, interfaces, messaging
• 4 + years of application modeling using UML, specifically using Class, Interaction, Sequence, Activity, and State Diagrams, and of documenting deployment using Deployment Diagrams.
• 8 years computer programming and analysis experience at a level equivalent to an ISATL which included using Web Services, XML, SOAP, object persistence methodologies and application integration.
• 8+ years experience with full project lifecycle experience in implementing web based systems.
• 8+ years of experience in troubleshooting, self-motivated and driven professional, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to exercise good judgment to keep critical systems operational
• 7+ years of object oriented conceptual expertise -- classes, inheritance, encapsulation, and the tools used in their definition (UML, Use Cases)
• 7 + years of database/Data Access -- RDBMS(Oracle, DB2, SQL), tables, triggers, logical and physical modeling, access strategies and tools, concurrency models
• Extremely strong fundamentals and analytical abilities
• 7 + years experience using the following technologies: .Net, ASP.Net, or Java, Visual Basic C#, MS SQL Server 2000 in implementing web based systems.
• Extensive background in the .Net Framework with emphasis on version 2.0 - 3.5
• Experience architecting ASP.Net web and web service solutions, Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation a plus.
• Works effectively in a fast paced environment.
• Works well in team scenarios and possesses characteristics representative of a self-starter and motivator
• Creative and effective problem solving skills
• Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Experience converting Visual Basic applications to .Net applications
• Familiarity with Government Systems, State Systems, and related support applications.
• Excellent communication skills
• 7+ years with working knowledge of software releases, versioning, change control and source control systems.
• Completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum Qualifications:-
Extensive experience in large-scale application architecture, design, and development using major tools such as ASP.NET 2003,2005,2010
Extensive knowledge of object modeling tools and techniques, principles of object oriented design practices, application architecture, and knowledge of systems and systems development, capacity planning, and network communications concepts; good communications skills (both oral and written) and analytical skills; 8 years of increasingly responsible work experience in an Information Technology setting, working on complex systems and/or large scale and complex automation projects, of which two (4) years were involved in designing and building the interface between information systems and databases.
