| Duties & Responsibilites : | This position will perform software testing on new, enhanced and fixed application features before the updated software packages are released. Responsibilities include writing test plans; designing & developing manual and automated test scripts based on analysis of software specifications; the execution of manual and automated tests for new application functions, defects and application regression testing; maintaining test cases and ensuring manual tests are migrated into the automated testing tool.
This position will also participate in business requirements gathering sessions, the creation of test data and performance testing tasks for the application.
Testing may also include application code, middleware code, templates and database tables.
The position may also include training and mentoring new members of the project team. Extensive experience with industry-standard testing tools is required.
Skills Required / Desired:
Minimum 60 months experience analyzing and interpreting business requirement documents and use cases (in unified modeling language) for testability and inconsistencies; identifying test cases, documenting test strategies, and writing test scripts using HP Quality Center. .
Minimum 60 months experience implementing test strategies, executing test scripts, identifying and analyzing application problems and communicating problems to developers using HP Quality Center.
Minimum 60 months experience implementing test strategies, identifying test cases appropriate for automation, writing and executing both manual and automated test scripts for all the application code owned by the application team for regression testing using Quick Test Professional.
Minimum 36 months experience planning, designing, developing and executing test strategies based on software specifications for a web-based application in a large, complex and diverse Human Services (Federal, State or local government) delivery system.
Minimum 36 months experience working independently and has demonstrated that they can provide direction and training to other members of the project team.
Minimum 36 months experience using SQL Navigator and Rational Clear Quest or HP Quality Center to identify, document, track and communicate problems to technical staff.
Minimum 36 months experience with HP LoadRunner to execute tests for load and performance testing.
