| Duties & Responsibilites : | Web Designer
The Web Designer will collaborate with Marketing, Social Media and Development teams to design user-friendly digital experiences. The candidate will possess advanced design, brand development and be skilled at applying knowledge of emerging technologies to define requirements and drive the creative development process. The position must deliver high-quality layout and design assets that effectively communicate the concepts being promoted. As a member of our creative team, the designer will participate in all aspects of the creative process including initial conceptual design to functional quality assurance.
Experience and Education:
- 3-5 years advanced Interface Design and Graphic Design experience
- Cross-platform, cross-browser, mobility and responsive web design experience highly desired
- Superior understanding of design aesthetic, branding, typography and content presentation
- High-proficiency utilizing industry-standard web authoring/design tools – Adobe Creative Suite (CS) including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Acrobat
- Strong understanding of Back-end development and code integration highly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Design and/or related discipline
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing creative and design support to Marketing and Web Dev teams; producing high-quality creative assets and delivering dynamic web content leveraging ColdFusion, HTML, CSS and other common programming languages
- Comfortable working in collaborative team environments and efficiently managing assigned tasks across multiple projects
- Provide exploratory creative/design input, making design and content recommendations as needed to drive project development and enhance overall design/user presentation
- Ongoing maintenance of existing functionality across a wide range of internal web-based applications
- Work closely with external vendors providing creative assets for the production landing pages and external websites
- Create design assets optimized for mobile devices
- Produce storyboards, annotated wireframes and prototypes applying expert use of industry-standard design tools
Technology Skills and Strengths:
- HTML5, HTML and CSS
- Content Management System (CMS)
- Adobe Creative Suite (CS) - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Acrobat
- Process engineering to support standardization of deployment practices
- HTML Editor (Dreamweaver, Notepad);
- Experience working with Cold Fusion development teams
- Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint |
