| Duties & Responsibilites : | The Programmer will be on the Website redesign project team.
This resource will be on the Web Systems Development Team.
He/She will be working with a variety of technologies and service offerings on our web and application servers.
She/He will be working with a collaborative team of web developers, tasked to create and support all web offerings on external and internal web sites.
The candidate must have proven expertise in the development and modification of web application systems , and in .NET Web Services.
He/She will work with a team lead on some projects (but not all), and provide a status daily in stand-up team meetings with manager.
The candidate may be tasked to be the lead on certain projects and coordinate (with the help of the manager) the programming activities of the project team.
He/She will work with both technical and business people to verify requirements and confirm feasibility.
This candidate will have the opportunity to help with creating programming solutions.
The candidate will be asked to utilize a number of database environments from SQL Server to Oracle to DB2.
He/She should be a good problem solver, as they will be tasked to work on Production trouble tickets on a tri-monthly basis, as well as keep up with their project workload.
Required Experience
ASP, ASP.Net, VB.Net: 8 to 9 yrs experience.
MS.Net Frameworks 2.0, 3.5, 4.0: 8 to 9 yrs experience.
MS.Net Web Services (SOAP/WSDL protocols, ASMX): 8 to 9 yrs experience.
RDBMS (i.e., Oracle, DB2, SQL Server): 8 to 9 yrs experience.
ADO.NET: minimum of 4 yrs experience.
_javascript_: minimum of 7 yrs experience.
LINQ: minimum 2 yrs experience.
AJAX: minimum 4 yrs experience.
Team Foundation Server: minimum 3 yrs experience.
Additional Skill/Knowledge/Experience advantageous to this placement:
Knowledge of insurance systems.
Some experience using JQuery
Experience developing services or developing applications built with services oriented architecture (SOA).
Skill in the use of organizational tools & methods (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, VISIO, Clarity).
Ability to quickly adapt to changes, enhancements, and new technologies.
