*Role: QA Analyst*

*Job Description:*
Work on the QA team to test end-to-end software solutions for
trading futures and derivative products on multiple exchanges.
Testing assignments will be focused on our core trading
infrastructure systems including market data applications, equity, future
and derivative product reference data
systems, trade and position management applications, and
inter-system communication protocols.
Assist QA Leads in writing test plans
Work with the development and business teams to clarify requirements
Write test cases reflective of requirements
Design and execute tests specifically to target application
function, regression and/or performance for market data processing,
reference data processing, trade and position
management, and inter-system communications.
Work with developers and users to isolate and document software
issues
Leverage and create partial and/or fully automated tests via
scripting languages (e.g. shell, Python, Perl, Ruby, Groovy, etc.)
Document and update tests scripts, test results and related
material in an organized and thorough manner
Assist in setting up and supporting test environments
Recognize and report issues before they adversely impact the
testing and projects schedules
Provide meaningful feedback to QA Manager and other testers
Contribute to production release planning
Qualifications:
3 - 4 years of software quality assurance required
2 - 3 years of experience working for a trading company, exchange or
trading industry vendor required
Prior experience testing market data feed handlers at the bus level and
at a data validation level OR experience testing trade or position
management systems
Experience analyzing application performance and comparison tests with
data feed software alternatives.
Expertise with at least one scripting languages such as shell, Perl,
Python, Ruby, etc.
Exposure to post-trade and clearing processes
Experience testing in Linux environments with no graphical user
interfaces
Strong prior experience in use of SQL for data verification purposes
Experience testing messaging protocols (e.g. MSMQ, 29west)
Clear understanding of software testing methodologies and software
development lifecycle.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience
Clear and open communication and collaboration skills
Self motivated and ability to work individually or in a group
Willingness to design and execute both manual and automated tests
Exposure to proprietary tools for the automation of functional tests
Familiarity with one or more high level programming language such as C,
C++, Java, VB etc.
Optional experience testing in a Citrix environment a plus
Knowledge of performance testing a plus
Experience working with defect tracking software; TeamTrack is a plus.
