Duties & Responsibilites :	Job Details: Role: - LTE and RF Optimization Consultant Location: - Richardson, TX Duration: - 12 months Job Description: • Must have strong background in UMTS and LTE technology. • Must have worked as Architect of LTE (TDD/FDD) and UMTS network. • Experience in working on Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core network elements like  NodeB, eNodeB, RNC, EPC, MME and Small cells (Pico, femto). • Must have gone through at least one product/service deployment cycle with an operator/OEM. • Good knowledge of Network Protocols like RLC, MAC, RRC, GTP, RANAP, NBAP and interfaces like Iub, Iur, IuCS, IuPS, X2, S1, etc. • Thorough knowledge of  UMTS and LTE network Architecture, design and planning principles, end-to-end Call/message Flow, packet scheduling, MIMO concepts, OFDMA, SC-FDMA, Logical and physical Channels, etc. • Good knowledge of network planning parameters, link budgeting, antenna patterns, coverage and capacity needs. • Should have good knowledge of network performance parameters and KPIs. • Exposure to various test and measurement equipment, protocol analyzers, network probes, etc. is preferred. • Must have the capability to understand the dimensioning of the LTE network end to end for optimizing the Capex and Opex Responsibilities: • Interact with high profile R&D, innovation, lab and product teams in Tier1 operators to discuss, understand and strategize on current and next generation network architectures and services. • Participate in ITU forum meets, standardization body meets, major events for discussion on next generation network architecture. • Respond to RFIs/RFPs related to network design/planning. • Translate new requirements into tangible service offerings. •  Support in development of solutions/services.
