This client offers a great working environment that is very supportive to consultants. The Java Developer will join a team of architects / developers / designers working on the implementation of new clearing / risk management applications using Java and Web application technologies: Spring MVC, Java, DB2, JSP, and Servlets. An architecture framework has been built in-house already on top of these technologies to standardize the usage and enhance the functionality provided by the underlying frameworks - a number of clearing applications were developed using this architecture framework. The new developer will help with making further enhancements / extensions to the existing architecture framework to meet new user requirements, development of new client-side plug ins and promote the adoption of coding patterns that improve the maintainability of Java code. The role also involves active development of new batch applications and maintenance of existing ones. *Requirements:** ** 6+ years of overall application development experience. * 3 years of Java development experience in a Messaging ( WebSphere ) environment with JSP, Servlets, JDBC, RAD, and J2EE architecture. * Basic Java language constructs and features ( conditional and looping statements, exception handling, variable scope, etc. ) * Experience with Multi-Threading and concurrency, Memory Management, Collections framework, Tuning and debugging, Patterns and their implementation in Java, Test Driven Development ( TDD ), Garbage collection. * Experience with RMI, Messaging, SQL, Spring ( MVC preferred ) Framework, Unix / Linux. * Experience with Caching, Bitwise operators, Low level file IO, Ant, Eclipse IDE, XML, Version Control and JMX. * Strong problem solving and communication skills required. * In-depth knowledge of testing processes. * Experience working in a trading / options / futures environment highly preferred. *ACCOUNT MANAGER NOTES:* *HEADLINE: Chicago-based, 18-month contract for Java Developer w/6+ yrs. of Java, J2EE, Spring (MVC preferred), Multi-threading, Unix/Linux, Messaging, etc.* Thanks Javeed * * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
