*6+ Months Contract* The Hadoop Developer is responsible for developing application solutions, migration, system integration and reporting. This includes SQL development, scripting and custom function development, workflow management and Development to QA to Production process support development. · Strong understanding of Hadoop eco system such as HDFS, MapReduce, HBase, Zookeeper, Pig, Hadoop streaming, Sqoop, oozie and hive. · Thorough knowledge of RDBMS concepts and extensive hand-on SQL experience · 5+ years of total experience Database application development and/or admin activities (creating tables, functions, stored procedures etc.) · Full understanding of Hadoop architecture · At least 1 year plus experience in working in Hadoop environment as developer · Experience developing custom database functions (user defined functions) using Java,C++ and /or R · Experience with Java and/or C++ · Knowledge of ODBC/JDBC data connectivity · Experience developing visualization outputs with enterprise BI platforms such as Spotfire, Tableau, QlikView, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc… · Understands OLAP data modeling concepts · Understand column store databases · Experience in writing scripts using Perl or python, shell scripting Regards, Tejas Patel River Delta Consulting, Inc. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
