| Duties & Responsibilites : | Position Description:
The modernization of the OBASE system is a top IT priority for the newly formed Department of Insurance and Financial Systems. DTMB is partnered with Evan’s Caseload to provide a modernized environment that also includes a Terradata data warehouse utilizing Business Objects and HP-TRIM. This highly visible project within the department requires a senior project manager to be successful in the implementation of a multi-vendor solution. The candidate will provide senior project management for the DIFS OBASE Modernization project completed by DTMB on behalf of Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services , ensuring that work performed adheres to State of Michigan standard methodologies.
Skills Required:
Documented experience in performing Project Management, Quality Management, or other critical functions within complex Information Technology projects (preferably with budgets greater than $1,000,000 and multi-phase, multiyear implementations).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrable presentation and facilitation skills are necessary for this position.
Demonstrated skills in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, required.
Preferred 3 years demonstrated experience with project and system development methodologies.
Demonstrated leadership ability in complex projects invo1ving multiple vendors and in-house resources within all levels of an organization.
Preferred professional certification in Project Management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
5 years experience in the application of CMMI and PPM methodologies. |
