| Duties & Responsibilites : | Job/role Description
- Manage a testing team, lead team members in testing activities, assign and monitor workloads, communicate the overall test plan vision and guide the mechanics of manual and automated testing
- Review and analyze technical requirements, gain a thorough understanding of project scope and build a test plan that is aligned with project parameters and goals
- Develop and implement a comprehensive end-to-end test plan for a complex software environment on an SOA platform to include a mix of software solutions, state systems and external federal government entities
- Develop and maintain systems integration test plans(SIT) and user acceptance test (UAT) plans using approved software methodology (SDLM) standards and guidance; use testing expertise to ensure compliance with information security, IT and business policies, processes and procedures
- Collaborate with IT and non-IT resources to ensure achievement of testing objectives and goals, timely defect resolution, testing schedules and resource availability
- Educate testing team members on testing industry best practices
- Document, track and report on testing activities including problems, defects, bugs and resolutions; provide a regular status on testing activities and outcomes using Rational tools related to Requisite Pro (requirements traceability matrix/use cases) and ClearQuest for defect tracking
- Provide oversight for testing timelines, deadlines and schedules and ensure on-time task completion
- Recommend software acquisitions/tools to improve business efficiency
- Serve as a liaison between various stakeholder groups regarding testing; act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for testing and Quality Assurance (QA) topics in meetings, webinars, conference calls and other forms of communication
- Work with key stakeholders and vendors throughout the testing and software development process; understand business needs and associated constraints to craft the best-fit solution
- Create and maintain documentation such as test management plans, use case, test scenario templates
- Identify training requirements and forward to Project Manager
- Detect all errors and bugs, research the origin of errors and recommend bug fixes
- Review technical documentation and maintain knowledge about software releases
- Provide oversight for all software installations/updates on hardware in test environments
- Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service

- IBM Rational Tools - Requisite Pro (requirements traceability matrix/use cases) and ClearQuest for defect tracking Required 5 Years
- Experience managing a team of testers Required 5 Years
