| Duties & Responsibilites : | ***Excellent Informatica, ETL and Verbal Communication is a must*** Responsible for the design, documentation, development, testing, installation and support of complex data extract transformation and load (ETL) programs in a data warehouse environment utilizing an agile delivery methodology. Will be accountable for defining level of effort and ensure all standards and processes are followed and enforced. The role will work closely with data modelers, business and data analysts on projects of various scope impacts; impacting individual departments to company-wide. Role will also interact with QA to ensure all testing is consistent with delivery expectations. • Establish an in-depth knowledge and proficiency of supported business areas and engages business and IT partners on evaluating opportunities for process integration and refinement • Know how to read and translate logical data models and use ETL skills to load the physical layer • Understand timing of a data load, how the data should be transformed and optimizing ETL load performance is a critical part of the job • Ability to effectively interact with various levels of technologists for devising an effective solution to meet business requirements • Working knowledge of data warehousing and data mart architectures, concepts and processes required • Detailed knowledge of extract, transform and load procedures, technologies, techniques and test approaches • Responsible for providing test approaches and best practices for data management projects • Interact with business stewards, subject matter experts and stakeholders to relate data and difficult technical concepts in business terms, constantly working to create strong working relationships, adoption and interaction with business areas • Works with infrastructure teams to ensure adequate capacity and performance planning • Responsible for the design and development of ETL code to extract, cleanse, aggregate, and load data into an analytical data warehouse • Participate in all phases of the systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing and deployment • Hands on experience with Informatica • Works in an agile development environment |
