Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other
related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 6+ years of IT
work experience. Release management not required for this position.
Proficient in the use of project management, spreadsheet and database query
tools. Has subject matter expertise in release management process and
understands SW Deployment..


Specific Requirements
Operating System Requirements
• 6+ Years of System administration in Linux and Solaris is required
• Knowledge of Perl and Shell scripting is a must.
• Troubleshooting bottlenecks at the operating system level is a
requirement.

Database Requirements
• Basic knowledge or how to install and upgrade an oracle database.
Creating schemas, know how to read/write SQL queries, creating views,
triggers and audits.
• Generate trace logs and extract DDL information to troubleshoot with an
oracle SR.
• Basic knowledge of using SQL Developer or TOAD to evaluate database
objects. Control migration of database and data changes and maintaining
tablespaces.
• Standard backup and recovery procedure.
• Basic troubleshooting.
• Database tuning (optional but should know the basic concepts of oracle
tuning).
• Database RAC and/or dataguard knowledge is a plus.

Application Requirements
• Standard requirements for J2EE applications. Expertise in Weblogic
Apache, JDKs, Classpaths, JDBC Connections and SSL.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Application Server, Oracle
Wallet Manager, Tablespace Migration Utility.
• Knowledge of mod_ssl, mod_oc4j, mod_perl.
• Very strong knowledge of Oracle Applications Manager. These are the tools
to manage E-business suite and include Workflow manager, patching and
Process monitoring. They should be able to understand and provide details
regarding this console from a highly technical level.
• Very strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, user
administration, roles and responsibilities. These are all part of oracle
identity management.
• Strong knowledge of installation, configuration and maintenance of
Concurrent managers. The more extensive knowledge they have the better. A
lot of work in the application is done through the CM. If they understand
clustering concept for the concurrent managers that’s a big plus.
