Duties & Responsibilites :	Job Details:   Role: Websphere Admin Location: -  St. Louis, MO Duration: - 12+ month Job Description: Ideal candidate will be a self-starter. Major responsibilities include providing application support and administration of multiple products (WebSphere, IBM HTT Server, LDAP, Process Server, Tomcat, Lotus Connections, Portal Oracle, MySQL and other applications as required). The support also includes installation, configuration and upgrades of the above mentioned products along with security configuration, implementation of SSL certs and copying of Data across Databases in multiple environments.  Candidate will also be a primary coordination point across multiple partner teams in the enterprise (ITO – UNIX support, Network, Security, Asset/License Mgt, Patrol, UAM, etc). The individual will also be responsible in providing on call rotation for the services provided by the team. Analysis and Problem Solving - Identifies problems and issues.  Solves non-routine problems by independently applying judgment to established analysis and standard approaches.  Integrates and evaluates multiple factors to develop creative and practical solutions. Independence - Guided by project and work deadlines; sets own priorities.  Uses discretion to complete assignments, independently applying knowledge of technical practices and specialty area standards.  Independently completes assignments and participates in projects of diverse scope Lastly, the candidate must be dexterous between technical and managerial skills inclusive of excellent verbal and oral communication skills, especially able to provide good details about tasks and projects.  Issues require immediate attention and fast track to resolution. Bachelor's degree relevant to position, for example, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, etc (Preferably Masters in Engineering or Computer Science) Required Skills: 5+ years UNIX experience (Linux, AIX, SUN, HP) 5+ years of 24 x 7 application support in production environment 3+ years of scripting including shell, Jython, wsadmin 5+ years of system monitoring tools expertise such as Introscope 5+ years of Apache and Tomcat 5+ years WebSphere Application Server, IBM Http Server (Unix and Windows servers), Lotus connections, LDAP (Tivoli Directory Server) 2+ years of IBM WebSphere Portal, Process Server Excellent communication skills both oral and written Desired Skills: 2 years of Java development, deployment Knowledge of Databases (DB2 and Oracle) 2+ Years Support enterprise wide deployment planning and support for mission critical applications for major releases, both business and infrastructure related 2+ years partnership with clients both internal and external 2+ years technical documentations on applications and systems
