Serves as the in-house expert and authority driving innovative data designs and is responsible for the overall plans to initiate and pursue continuous data quality improvements. *Duties and Responsibilities:* - Leading the development, best practices, and design for Master Data Management (MDM): customer and product. - Developing a future state enterprise data MDM data model for Customer and Product Data producing: - Data models – conceptual, logical, and physical - Standard enterprise data definitions - Data relationships in ERDs - State transition diagrams - Source/Use Matrices - Leads design of exception handling and data cleansing/standardization procedures and business transformation rules and logic. - Holds overall, senior-level technical responsibility for management, planning, design and implementation of enterprise Data Architecture domain to ensure alignment of total Enterprise Architecture with business strategy – tools, guidelines, principles, policies and governance. - Maintains accountability for establishing the Data Architecture vision and championing efforts to reach that vision. Serves as the in-house expert and authority by defining, implementing and enforcing all data integration standards and documentation. - Continually reviews and suggests improvement to the Data Architecture processes, policies, and vision and explores new and emerging technologies. Leads the investigation and adaptation of beneficial Data Architecture technologies and tools. - Defines strategies and standards for Business Data Integration. - Provides deep expertise in enterprise data and information management methods and standards. - Key member of data governance council *Desired Skills/Experience:*** - 5+ years’ experience with MDM technology - Oracle’s UCM preferred - 5+ years of experience in leading data integration efforts in large scale programs. - 6+ years’ experience in Data Architecture and in Data modeling, Database design, Computer programming. - 5+ years’ experience with Oracle and SQL Server - 5+ years’ experience with Informatica ETL tool - 5+ years’ of experience with one or more of the following BI Reporting tools: (Cognos, Business Objects, and Hyperion). - 5+ years’ experience in ETL metadata, systems administration, application tuning and debugging. - Experience defining and enabling Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) required. - Deep understanding of core ETL architectural principles such as modularity, restart ability, parallelization and table driven business rules. - Deep understanding of information delivery architecture including the creation of abstraction layers, SQL query paths and optimization, report level calculations and end user reporting architecture. - Proven experience in data security architecture. *Education:* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. - 8 years’ experience including at least 2 enterprise level data solutions or architecture projects. Experience with BI solution such as Informatica, Oracle, SAS, and SAP.
