Please forward your consultant updated Resume with the contact details ASAP to *[email protected]* * * *Position Description: Virtualization / Windows Engineer* *Focus: Microsoft Windows Technologies (Strong Active Directory, GPO, Identity Management skills)* *Position Type: Contract Length: 6 months (minimum)* *Location: St. Louis* *DESCRIPTION:* Enterprise Infrastructure Virtualization / Windows engineering position: The engineering position exists within an Infrastructure/Shared Services organization but focuses primarily on the delivery of high-quality infrastructure designs to support complex business applications, databases and middleware components. The engineer will contribute to multiple projects in parallel in an Enterprise as technical leadership or subject matter expert roles. Maturation of enterprise infrastructure and mission critical business processes will be important activities alongside technical VMware and Windows systems architecture and project implementation work. * * *MUST: * · Demonstrate professional design, implementation, and operational experience with virtualized environments utilizing the VMware family of products. (ex. VMware View, ESXi, vCenter). · Demonstrate professional experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008 Server in an Enterprise, mission critical data center environment. This will include Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and related technologies. · Demonstrate a technical understanding of enterprise class systems’ security requirements. · Demonstrate the ability to think beyond tactical/immediate deliverables to assess and mitigate risks and costs. · Demonstrate a technical understanding of enterprise class Disaster Recovery implementations. *SHOULD:* · Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to SAN/storage technologies (EMC vMAX, vNX is preferred) · Demonstrate recent, professional experience with Windows Clustering, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft IIS. · Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to Oracle database technologies (10g, 11g, RAC, OEM/GC preferred) · Demonstrate recent, professional experience in the documentation of existing/legacy systems for which documentation may be absent or scattered · Demonstrate an understanding of some quality/maturity methodology (ITIL, Six Sigma, etc.) *MAY:* · Demonstrate recent, professional experience supporting Linux running on VMware. · Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, and/or 2010.
