Senior SAS Programmer Analyst Location: Washington, DC Duration: 6 Months *Required Skills and Experience*** a) Have 10 years or more experience in delivering IT training courses or one-on-one training to Federal Agencies. b) A 4 year degree in an IT-related field plus 5 years of IT development experience in SAS at a supervisory or instructor level. c) Expertise in coaching or training SAS programming language to beginner and intermediate Users. d) Expert knowledge of base SAS and SAS Macros for SAS software development e) Expert knowledge of lookup tables for SAS for SAS software development f) Expert knowledge in proposing and implementing improvements/efficiencies for SAS software development. g) Experience with statistical production systems. h) Perform client needs analysis and assessment; collaborate with clients and business analysts to identify and clarify program, business and functional requirements. i) Excellent oral and written communication skills in English *Required Abilities:* a. Ability to coach and teach one-on-one and in small groups . b. Provide instruction and support to beginner-to-intermediate level SAS users c. Ability to work on IT-related projects and teams with non-IT professionals d. Ability to translate technical concepts of SAS software programming to non-IT professionals. This includes discussing, reviewing and improving SAS code prepared by DMSP staff who have beginner to advanced levels of SAS programming skillse. WebEx or other similar virtual meeting capability *Desired Skills and Experience:* a. Knowledge of TSP (Time Series Processor) b. Instructor experience in requirements analysis and the use cases c. Knowledge of system architecture using SAS d. Knowledge of IML for SAS software development e.
