*Requirement : Mainframe Developer* *Location is Louisville, KY* *Duration: 6 Months* *Start date: ASAP* *Rate: $45/hr C2C* We need someone with strong IDMS experience. *Primary Skills*: Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DFSORT, Easytrieve, DB2, CICS, File-Aid, SPUFI, Xpeditor, Abend-Aid, Panvalet/Changeman/Endeavour(Any one), IDMS/ADSO(Preferably) *Secondary Skills:* Rexx, Basic Programming (Stored Procs, Web-services, Data Modeling, Joins, etc), Rational Tools, MS Office/Excel *Skills and experience for the position include the following:* - Expertise in implementing applications based on Mainframe terminologies using SDLC. - Hands-on experience developing mainframe screens and back-end programming - Hands-on experience in building cobol codes and batch jobs and unit-testing them - End-to-end batch job sequence testing and debugging abends. - Modification, customization and building test cases. - Excellent documentation skills, experience creating multiple conceptual design and detail design documents. Knowledge of SIT and UAT testing strategy and planning. *Tasks: * - Design, code, test and implement batch jobs with DFSORT, VSAM and IDCAMs functionalities. - Design, code, test and implement cobol codes with DB2 queries or IDMS statements. - Knowledge of using SPUFI or other similar utilities for SQL queries - Design, code, test and implement CICS MAP, CICS codes, PCT/PPT entries and understanding different test and prod regions. - Design, code, test and implement ADSO MAP, ADSO processes, ADSALIVE debugging, creating online turn, etc. - Provide warranty support after deployment, including taking tickets and solving tickets. - Create all artifacts for the solution (design documentation, unit test plan and test cases). - Work with Customers through testing (systems integration, integration and user acceptance).
