12 months Rate: $46 *Description:* The successful candidate for this position will be deploying, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting SQL servers within the Windows Phone organization. This person will also be managing and maintaining operational and support documentation for infrastructure systems and services. *Primary Responsibilities: Tier 2+ Support* · Working with customers to ensure optimal operation of SQL and related services (backup, monitoring, performance, high availability, etc.) · Investigation of failed infrastructure systems and services · Communicate effectively with engineering, test, and product development groups to define the impact of outages and technical requirements of development. · Documenting processes and challenges, while offering suggestions for solutions and improvement, some code review required · Resource allocation enumeration, planning, and forecasting · Troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues relating to SQL Servers *Required** **Job Skills:* · Experience with SQL queries, performance, backup, and maintenance · Experience with SQL Server 2008R2 and/or SQL 2012 · Working knowledge and experience using Hyper V · Working knowledge and experience of SAN and DAS storage solutions · Working knowledge and experience administering Windows Servers · Ability to effectively multi-task in a changing environment · Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, and networking issues · Clear written communication skills · Good understanding of security groups, OU’s, and user privilege maintenance *Highly Desirable Job Skills:* · Experience with Server 2008/R2 clustering · SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) implementation and administration · SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package design and execution · Active Directory experience in a multi-domain, multi-forest environment · Ability to originate or edit scripts (PowerShell, TSQL) · Prior experience with SharePoint setup and backend administration · SQL server hardware standards including but not limited to preferred RAID configurations -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
