*Job Location:* Austin, TX *Duration:* Long term contract *Rate: $DOE/hr on C2C* *Description:* The Web Service Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and modifying web services that are a key component in our SOA architecture for the Sales Comp reporting asset. The Web Service Developer will work very closely with Business Analyst and GUI developers to ensure the requirements are well understood and develop web services that are robust and perform at acceptable performance levels. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the full development cycle, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, web service development, GUI design/development and performance tuning. The consultants will perform Services Deliver deliverables related to the following tasks: · Perform detailed business analysis to understand the business requirements. · Participate in reviewing the data model. · Develop/modify & unit test web services for optimal performance. · Work with QA Lead and test engineer · Coordinate GUI and database development work with offshore developers and conduct code reviews. · Work closely with database administration team and ensure the database is architected and designed to handle the database queries. · Provide level-4 production support during warranty period. *Skills Required* · Team-oriented · Strong presentation & communication skills · Strong analytical skills · Some or all of the following technical skills: o Languages: JavaScript, JSON, C#, HTML5, CSS3, SQL o Frameworks: .NET (ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Web API, etc.), jQuery, JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Backbone, Knockout, Angular, etc.), Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery Mobile, PhoneGap o Environments: Windows, Linux/Unix, Mac OS X, Android, iOS o Development Tools: Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE, SharePoint, SQL Server Management Studio, TOAD/SQL Developer o Business Tools: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, DreamWeaver, etc.) · Must have a positive, "can-do" attitude · Must be willing to take initiative.
