*Primary Skill      *

•        Gather requirements for deliverables that are then specified in a
publications plan, create a documentation plan for document you own



*Description        *

•        Responsible for managing the content, design and publication of an
external knowledge Base.

•        The ideal candidate will be able to create articles based on tech
support feedback into a publicized Knowledge Base System and post that
knowledge for internal and/ or external users.

•        Collaborate with technical and escalation engineers, and product
management during design phase to gain an understanding of the product.

•        Analyze requirements of project to determine types of publications
needed.

•        Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.

•        Additionally can analyze data and determine how to help solve
using knowledge.

•        The candidate should be able to handle tool administrative tasks
dealing with the knowledge base tool.



*Mandatory Technical Skills:  Manage content design of knowledge base*

•        Gather requirements for deliverables that are then specified in a
publications plan, create a documentation plan for document you own

•        Organize priorities in a fast-paced, deadline- driven development
environment

•        Research and write documents that fulfill stated requirements

•        Create conceptual diagrams to illustrate key point in the documents

•        Drive documents through the review process and produce final
deliverable (e.g. PDFs, context-sensitive help, man pages)

•        Adhere to corporate style guides, templates and tech pubs
procedures

•        Maintain knowledge base design and content

•        Working knowledge of authoring/ publishing tools such as
Microsoft(R) word, PowerPoint?, Excel and Visio(R), Adobe and Acrobat(R)

•        Able to work in a fast-paced environments while managing multiple
demands

•        Help create and track documentation schedules

•        Experience in running reports in excel using pivot tables,
vlookups and creating advanced charts



*Desirable Technical Skills*

•        Experience documenting storage area network (SAN) and/ or Network
attached storage (NAS) systems, with working knowledge of SAN/ NAS
hardware, management software and protocols such as NFS, CIFS, SNMP and NDMP

•        Knowledge of and willingness to follow, single? sourcing workflows
to create help files and online documentation from one documentation base
