*Title : PL/SQL Developer* Location: NYC (locals preferred) Job Description * * *Overview:* This position requires a strong PL/SQL Development with an understanding of basic DBA activities. This resource will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of database structure as well as the data manipulation. This encompasses various levels of reporting using complex queries and views, which need to execute at maximum performance. Database development work is done using Oracle PL/SQL on an Oracle 11g RDBMS. It will be necessary to maintain and enhance database structure, perform SQL programming/tuning, *Responsibilities* Develop and maintain PL/SQL code, primarily as store procedures. Read, write and test complex DML (insert, update, delete) Read, write and test SQL*Plus , UNIX Shell scripts Perform deployment and versioning of Oracle packages and objects Prepare system design documents, use cases, test cases and other systems documentation Communicate clearly both verbally and through documentation ** *Required Technical Skills* 8+ years of PL/SQL development 8+ years writing packages, procedures, functions and triggers 8+ years creating tables with constraints that are indexed 5+ years writing SQL*Plus and UNIX Shell scripts Capable of understanding and writing ANSI and traditional Oracle inner and outer joins Capable of working with and writing nested queries and subqueries Capable of tuning high performance queries Moderate knowledge of data modeling Experience with TOAD or SQL Developer Experience with ERWIN, Visio or other data modeling tools Excellent documentation experience using appropriate tools Excellent written, verbal , organizational and presentational skills ETL Experience is a plus *Education** ** * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Oracle Certification is a plus.
