Roster is a supervisory application to store and maintain information about employees, including but not limited to: o HR, Trading mandates, Licenses, Employee supervisors. o Automation of data validations, loading, monitoring, auditing etc. o REST API's to external applications as it will serve as a reference data source for entitlements in the supervisory world. o User interfaces for Reporting, data mining, data oversight etc. o The team that the candidate will be joining is responsible for a number of applications, as such; the successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with a number of different technologies facing off against different areas within the Supervisory & Front Office controls group. Main Duties The Tech lead will be responsible for working with a globally distributed software development team assembled from both employees and vendors. This person will work on several Supervisory Front Office applications, and must have a background in working within a large development organization. This is a hands-on role and includes proactive involvement in the following aspects of both Project and (to some extent) Programmer activity: Candidate will be responsible for all development and post-development phases of systems development including: analysis and design, development, testing and deployment, including infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to undertake complex technical development and leverage resources from within and outside the team to complete critical tasks. The candidate will be expected to provide development sizing and estimation and support requirements gathering. Lead a team of developers, both onsite and offshore and co-ordinate all development work in a timely manner TECHNICAL SKILLS Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field 10+ years of overall experience in building software applications out of which 3+ years of experience as a Project Lead managing the complete SDLC of a key enterprise scale application. 5+ years of development experience with the following technologies: .NET Framework 4.0 will be used as a base platform (must) WPF for desktop front-end application ASP.NET/HTML for web application WCF for handling incoming REST API calls. Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database (must) Database design, application design, query optimization, data archival (must) Informatica tool set Strong background using SOA, REST, Web services, .NET (must) Solace as messaging and communication platform Source control, Unit/System/Integration Testing, Builds and Cruise control Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to learn enterprise standards for application development and implement the applications using pre-approved technologies and processes Demonstrated ability to manage a global team, while establishing goals, setting clear expectations, and prioritizing activities to delivery with quality Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a professional manner with team members, business stakeholders and all levels of management Demonstrated leadership through organizational impact & influence at senior management levels Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both technical written and conversational. Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with numerous tasks simultaneously and with frequently changing priorities. Ability to manage risk appropriately. Ability to work on multiple deliverables at once and appropriately managing ones time Independent and creative in approach to problems and issues; aggressive in follow through, and detail oriented.
