Job Description: SQL Developer (Must have experience on AML OR Compliance OR strong Financial Background) Location: Jersey City, NJ Contract: Long Term Contract Interview: Telephonic and In person Main Duties · Convert functional specifications into technical specifications for the upcoming business requirements. · Analyze the data from upstream systems for correctness and completeness. · Development of new application components based on the project requirements. · Perform Data migration activities based on the project requirements. · Perform coding and testing for the new requirements in Mantas CB AML system · Perform system testing and assist business users in UAT · Perform data analysis & write reporting queries Basic qualifications · Bachelors Degree · 10 + years Development & testing using Unix shell script, PL/SQL scripts , SQL queries, SQL Server and Tomcat · 10 + years Experience of working in detail with Investment Banking products and processes. · Sound knowledge of software development methodologies and technology product lifecycles. · Ability to understand business requirements and develop software solutions. · Solid Mantas product skills · Solid SQL skills, very good technical understanding of Unix, SQL server, Oracle PL/SQL & Sybase. · Strong data analysis skills and ability to present the findings to the business users. · Excellent MS Office skills (esp. Visio, Excel, Word) and presentation skills (PowerPoint). · Ability to design, write and execute test cases. · Demonstrable ability to communicate and build relationships with members of the business and technology communities. · Financial Domain knowledge · Knowledge of the functions of an investment banking Compliance department. · Experience of working with the Compliance function within an Investment Bank. · Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with numerous tasks simultaneously and with frequently changing priorities. · Must be independent and creative in approach to problems and issues; assertive, tenacious, proactive · Must be able to represent self and team with proper maturity and diplomacy to business and technical staff at many levels of the organization. · Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in documenting requirements and specifications.
