Location: Austin, TX Phone Then Face to Face Job Description:The BI Developer primary responsibility is to provide hands-on design and implementation expertise of a Data Warehouse and Enterprise Reporting Solution utilizing SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and MS CDC.  Senior BI Developer Required Skills and Responsibilities: • 4 year degree in an Information Technology related field; or a four-year degree in an applicable field of study such as Mathematics or Engineering with five or more years of demonstrated interaction with systems and software integration concepts; or eight years of applicable work experience. • 5+ years of development experience in Microsoft SQL Server. • 5+ (Sr. Dev) or 8+ (BI Architect) years of overall IT/software development experience. • At least 5+ years of pure, hands on BI development experience strongly preferred. • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server 2008/2012 BI stack (SSRS, SSAS and SSIS). • Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012, BIDS & TFS. • Perform analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Reporting (ER) solution. • Experience with Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Design Patterns. • Implement incremental load utilizing Change Data Capture (CDC). • Implement SSIS Framework execute logging, monitoring, control and error handling. • SSIS Unit Testing. • Experience developing multi-dimensional data models and awareness of the advantages and limitations of Star Schema and Snowflake schema designs. • Solid ETL development, SSAS development, SSRS reporting experience all based off of intricate understanding of business process and measures. • Creation & tuning of Stored Procedure and MDX queries, Report development, SSIS package development, ad-hoc reporting in response to business reporting initiatives. • OLTP data modeling, process flow, stored procedure creation/tuning, ETL, strong application team interaction including understanding of the underlying data structures. • Cooperate with the Quality Assurance team to define test cases, metrics, and resolve questions about test results; assist Quality Assurance team with the maintenance and integrity of the QA environment. • Design the necessary automated and robust processes to launch and monitor the ER application utilizing UC4. • Develops, maintains, monitors, and tune the performance of the SSAS OLAP cubes and data marts. • SharePoint, Excel Power Pivot experiences a plus.
