Creates and tests builds, resolves issues, applies labels to file and communicates build status. Responsible for building scripts and installation procedures. Proactively identifies and implements procedures to streamline the build process which may drive the development and maintenance of an automated build process with automatic notification of build and unit test failure problems to responsible engineers. May assist engineering management in making choices for source code management systems, and other development and testing tools. Knowledge of quality methods and procedures as well as PC, PVCS, Unix and scripting languages is required for successful performance in this role. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of IT work experience with at least 2 years related to release management. Proficient in the use of project management, spreadsheet and database query tools. Has subject matter expertise in release management process and understands SW Deployment.. The Senior Middleware Engineer is a senior information technology professional within the Datacenter Transformation Center of Excellence (COE) who analyzes existing n-Tier architectures and workloads and designs new or complementary solutions for transformed environments, implements solutions, and troubleshoots any residual issues after transformation. As part of the Transformation COE the Middleware engineer will participate in early project discovery to understand the current mode of operation (CMO). The Engineer will then participate in the evaluation of those workloads and create a Future Mode of Operation (FMO) Design that aligns with the company’s service catalog. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Java development and got into Middleware integration. The engineer would have significant experience with WebLogic, WebSphere, Webmethods and Oracle Application server.. Must understand application develop and how it communicates with the Middleware. Must have experience or led a full life cycle Middleware implementation. Must have an understanding of SOA and ETL, The Middleware Engineer will lead troubleshooting activities for outages and/or performance issues during transformation projects. The MIddleware Engineer will review, analyze, and document system requirements and dependencies and select the best manner of transformation in the FMO environment. The Middleware Engineer will identify and document requirements, define scope and objectives, and identify system modifications needed to support business requirements and initiatives in the transformed environment. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* • Provide level 3 support for all functions with primary focus on SOA, ETL of Middleware applications and architecture. • Assist application owners as a SME for application integration: Oracle fusion Middleware including, B2B, ODI and SOA suite. • Oracle Application Server/IAS • Web Methods Integration Server, Broker Server and Trading Networks. • Other ETL technologies such as Informatica as required to support all application architecture. • Support of all Java based application especially integration related. • WebLogic application Servers, Administration and support • WebSphere application Servers Administration and support • Support Linux platform and Oracle Database development • Execute Discovery activities to fully identify and document the existing Middleware Environment • Work with the Datacenter Server Tower to develop and implement the appropriate solution for successful transformation • Consult on complex business issues and design considerations • Responsible for the identification and documentation of system requirements to enable the Technical Team to deliver the appropriate solution for successful transformation • Participate in the development and execution of the user acceptance test plans, as well as schedule testing • Create new documentation and processes as needed to help refine, optimize, and/or to establish network functions and processes Requirements Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology Discipline and 6 or more years professional experience • 2-5 years’ experience working on one or more SOA systems and architecture including but not limited to WebMethods, Oracle Fusion Middleware, IBM WebSphere, building custom Java libraries for use in Middleware technologies. • Extensive Experience with older operating systems including Tru64 • Proven Experience migrating legacy Linux servers to modern virtual environments using products like VMconverter or PlateSpin • In depth understanding of distributed networks • Significant experience in the administration of SSL certs, *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* • Expert level knowledge of various integration patterns and methods • Significant experience with Apex Application Suite • Previous hands on experience with OBIEE/Siebel • Practical experience with WebSphere MQ • Expert level knowledge of various enterprise service bus implementations • Strong knowledge of integrating applications with applications such as *Oracle e-Business* • Experience supporting the above applications in various technology stacks, especially Linux, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBOSS, Apache, etc.) • Extensive previous Java development experience • Must have current and significant hands on experience with Middleware integration • Must have proven experience with deep technical aspects of enterprise consolidation/ integration projects • Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal • Experience interviewing end users to gather requirements • Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all internal and external interactions • Ability to analyze situations and challenges in a systematic, logical approach • Ability to analyze data points extracted by automated and manual discovery processes • Experience with Sendmail, Apache, Oracle Weblogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat • Strong knowledge of dns, ntp, nfs, and ftp • Strong scripting skills (KORN, Perl, bash, Awk, Sed, etc.) Python (is a plus) • Experience with Networking (sub-netting, routing, etc.) and SAN concepts (provisioning, use, etc.) • Experience with ITIL • Ability to document ‘as built’ operating guides -- Thanks & Regards, *Pavan Kaparthi | * *Infolob Solutions Inc.| * Direct: 972-212-5659 |Fax: 888-228-4125 | Email:*[email protected] <[email protected]>* |www.infolob.com | *A MBE COMPANY | ORACLE PLATINUM PARTNER COMPANY* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
