IT RECRUITER with SVK Systems INC *ROLE: Network Support Specialist.* *LOCATION- Southfield, MI * *TENURE 3 month plus Contract - Long term potential * *RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB PURPOSE**: * The Network Specialist will be responsible for providing end-user support for the employees across the country. This is a 3 month contract position that has the potential to turn into a long term opportunity. *Technical Skills:* Hardware: Dell, HP, Cisco, Extreme, Konica, Xerox, Panasonic and Tandberg, Mitel phone system. Software: SQL, MS Server 2003 & 2008, MS OS XP & Win7, MS Office 2003-2010 and Active directory. *TYPICAL DUTIES:* •Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, phone & electronically. •Troubleshoot all technical related user issues, including hardware, software, account, and printer issues. •Install various software applications as needed and approved. •Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. •Follow all company support procedures. •Log all support related tasks in company support system. •Provide support in the maintenance of the company's network and infrastructure as directed. •Maintain passwords, data integrity and file system security according to company policy. •Setup workstations, servers, networks and printers. •Manage inventory for workstations, laptops and other IT asset in company tracking system. •Provide support for all Autodesk applications. •Install and support all company standard software. •Help manage and deploy company cell phones, smart phones and other mobile devices. •Support Mitel phone system as directed •Stay current with system information, changes and updates •Additional projects and tasks assigned as needed. *SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:* •Excellent customer service skills •Ability to work independently as well as in a team •Attention to detail •Excellent communication skills •3+ years of experience in a corporate setting performing the above named activities. •Experience with the following: Hardware: Dell, HP, Cisco, Extreme, Konica, Xerox, Panasonic and Tandberg.
