Requirement Description: Position Summary The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) intends to hire one experienced Data Architect to lead the analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment of our enterprise databases. Heshe will also involve in building software solutions for EEA IT information system projects. The Data Architect will be responsible for facilitating requirements gathering, creating system specifications, use cases, system designs and flow charts diagrams. The Data Architect will work in team settings with business users, project managers, EEA developers and other staffs with minimum supervision. Responsibilities for Data Architect Database Development (60 or more) The Data Architect will mainly be responsible for building our enterprise databases, including bull Work closely with the business users, developers, and DBAs in a collaborative manner. bull Meet with business stakeholders and other technical team members to gather and analyze application requirements. bull Understand business owner's needs and translate them into clear specifications, logical and physical designs. bull Implement relational database solutions using available database development tools. bull Document applications and sub-systems interactions, data flows and data mappings. bull Document enterprise data standards and help enforce these standards in new projects. bull Complete complex and difficult assignments and must demonstrate an ability to multitask, and contribute within a collaborative team. bull Address issues of data migration and conversions (validation, clean-up and mapping). Application Development (40 or less) The Data Architect will also responsible for some application development, including bull Gain a thorough and in-depth understanding of the current systems. bull Design and implement web applications using Object Oriented Design, Object Oriented Programming, .NET and ASP.NET. bull Provides quality controlassurance to software development. bull Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code to ensure performance. bull Nice to have experience in web services, MVC, client JavaScript librariesframeworks such as JQuery, Bootstrap andor AngularJS. bull Nice to have experience in Agile development methodologies. Qualifications for Data Architect EducationBackground bull BSMS in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Database Skills bull 5 + years of working experience in designing and implementing databases in Oracle and SQL Server. bull Proficient in T-SQL and PLSQL. bull Possess high level of analysis and problem solving skills, a very high level of technical and programming skills. bull Excellent interviewing and facilitation skills for gathering detailed, comprehensive requirements. bull Strong knowledge of database design, database programming and data management. Ability to transform complex data models to usable blue prints. bull Attention to details in complex database and application designs. bull Strong background in Data Analysis, Database DesignModeling and Data Integration. bull Experience with Data Migration and ETL tools knowledge. bull Strong background in performance fine tuning in database and application. bull Experience with Database and Software Development Life Cycles. bull Nice to have experience in SSIS andor SSRS. Application Development Skills bull 3+ years of overall software development experience with demonstrated experience in developing web based software applications. bull Strong background in design, development and implementation of large-scale multi-tier, multi-user web applications. bull Experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming. bull Experience with.NET development and knowledge of .NET architecture, ASP.NET. bull Nice to have working experience with MVC, C, VB.NET and ADO.NET. bull Nice to have working experience with client technologies including JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, Bootstrap andor AngularJS. bull Nice to have knowledge of web services using Web API or WCF. bull Nice to have experience with Agile development methodologies. Other Skills bull Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting with closed communication with others. bull Excellent written and oral communication skills. bull Ability to pursue tasks with a minimum of supervision and deliver quality work on time.
