Teradata consultant. Location : Dallas, TX Client : Pepsi Contract Duration : 6 months Level : L3 *Job Description:* Position is for a Senior Teradata Database Administrator with proven engineering, architect, and technical skills who can communicate effectively with developers and DBA teams alike. Candidate will demonstrate superior knowledge of Teradata database features, tuning and design methodologies. The ideal candidate will have solid Teradata experience, working knowledge of Sybase and MS SQL Server, and a willingness to learn new technologies. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment are a must. *Qualifications* *Requirements:* - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. - 6 plus years of IT / DBMS work experience. - Typically experienced across multiple IT areas and all DBMS. - Serves as point of escalation for complex issues. - Responsible for developing and executing project plans, as well as coordinating groups of IT staff. - Extensive experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting - drill down approach with O/S, database and application - Experience with Teradata tools Viewpoint, BAR, Multi-System Manager - Ability to project plan, co-ordinate and carry to completion database initiatives, with solid interpersonal organizational and people communication skills, as well as solid writing and oral communication skills. - Experience with system utilities and load utilities (TPT, Fastload, Fastexport, MLoad etc.) Well experienced in data warehouse, data migration and other data conversion. - Ability to clearly articulate business and technical issues with senior management, peers, and outside parties (vendors) Understanding of ETL architectures, data movement technologies and business information systems. - System Performance tuning and capacity planning experience, including production and interpretation of PMCP Reports - Teradata certifications *Desired Skills (Preferred not required):* - Proficient in using Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) *Please send an email If i miss your phone call* *Thanks & Regards* *Patrick* *Technical Recruiter** | Blackapple Solutions LLC* Suite 4, 2 Division Street, Somerville, NJ 08876, U.S.A *Phone: 201-731-2034 **X 942* *Email: **[email protected]*<[email protected]> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
