This is a 12 month contract and our client is primarily interested in candidates who are local to the New York area. Our client is seeking an expert web forms designer/developer who spends at least 75% of the time developing and is excellent at interpreting business requirements. They should know some of the more common UI control suites out there like DevExpress, Infragistics, Telerik Kendo as well as the native ASP controls. They must also have experience building and testing MVC web interfaces. *Business Domain Experience * Candidates must have at least 3 years of recent experience in developing and supporting back office processing and reporting systems for the financial services or insurance industries. There is a huge preference or someone who has fixed income industry experience. *Technical Experience * Extensive experience in the analysis, design, development and support of multi tier web based applications and distributed applications using web services, SOA and web 2.0 standards. Extensive experience in designing and developing web based user interfaces. Strong object oriented analysis, design, and programming skills using design patterns and best practices. Extensive experience in writing and debugging stored procedures and user defined functions in SQL Server or Sybase. Experience in writing reports and using reporting tools like SQL Server Reporting Services. Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) Visual Studio *Technical Requirements* The candidate must have at least 7 years experience in the following: OO design and development in an N-Tier architecture utilizing patterns and best practices. *Application Development Technologies:* ASP .NET, .NET 4.0, C# or VB .NET, HTML, JavaScript, web services, AJAX *Database Technologies: * SQL Server or Sybase stored procedures and functions, query optimization techniques/best practices, Microsoft Reporting Services/SSRS or equivalent, Microsoft Analysis Services *Development Tools:* Visual Studio .NET, Visual Studio Team System 2010, TFS, VSS, VS or equivalent application profiler, performance tuning and debugging, NANT *Third Party Tools: *DevExpress, Infragistics web tools and controls *Design Tools:* Visio Architect, ERWIN *Personal Qualifications and Skills* Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, a team-centric work style, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff and management.
