Position:                *MS Exchange Administrator*

Mandatory:          Administration skills on MS Exchange & UAG Management


Location:               Arlington, VA

Rate:                      DOE

Duration:              Long Term ( 12 months to start with)

Start Date:           Immediate



The selected candidate will serve as primary administrator for all Windows
Operations servers - include Windows Servers, Microsoft Exchange Servers,
Forefront Unified Access Gateways (UAG), SAN infrastructure, backup
infrastructure, and virtualized environment. Responsible for research,
installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Microsoft
Exchange and mobile device messaging software (iPhone, Android, Windows
Mobile).



•         Coordinates all maintenance activities including testing and
scheduling for maintenance weekends in regards to MS Exchange and the UAG.

•         Develops mitigation strategies when vulnerabilities cannot be
remediated.

•         Develops and submits change requests and tracks to completion for
software upgrades and patches.

•         Develops technical architecture documentation that details
procedures for installation, maintenance, security, configuration, and
disaster recovery.

•         Recommends enterprise upgrades, changes, or enhancements.



*Must have Skills:*

•         Minimum 3 years of specialized experience in MS Exchange and
Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway 2010 (UAG)

•         Knowledge of and experience administering Microsoft Windows
environment including clustering, Group Policies, Active Directory,
monitoring, backup and recovery, advanced configuration, anti-virus and
anti-malware software, email gateways, SAN storage, network routing, and
PowerShell scripting.

•         Knowledge of and experience administering Microsoft software
including Microsoft Exchange server, Forefront UAG, ActiveSync, Windows
Mobile Device Center, Microsoft SQL Server.

•         Ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and
recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical
Windows and software updates and vulnerability issues.

•         Ability to assess risk factors and vulnerabilities to recommend
mitigation strategies.

•         Ability to ensure coordination and/or collaboration on upgrade
activities.

•         Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
with management and other technical specialists.

•         Ability to plan, organize and manage tasks on time with minimal
supervision.

•         Implementing and Administering a Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012
Directory Services Infrastructure.

•         Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows NT/2003/2008/2012
Network.

•         Must possess ability to successfully implement hardening of the
server infrastructure in appropriate server roles.

•         Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Windows NT/2003/2008/2012
Network Infrastructure.

•         In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP technologies on
Windows.

•         Experience with server monitoring tools.

•         Thorough understanding of Active Directory DC design, Schema, OU
design, AD replication topology, and DC backup/restore procedures.

•         Excellent working knowledge of DNS, GPO's, Message tracking and
performance.

•         Bachelor’s degree in a technical field e.g. Engineering,
Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.





*Desired Skills:*

•         MCSE: Messaging certification
Degree is desired or equivalent demonstrated experience.
