*Position : PL/SQL Developer * *Location : Pasadena, CA* *Duration : 1+ Year* *Job Description :* Analyzes & develops complex data an process models, logical data base designs, & data definitions, & develops, tests & implements complex physical data base designs in support of corporate & client area information systems requirements. Projects are large in scope, typically cross-functional & technically difficult, often involving combinations of platforms & computing environments (e.g., host based distributed systems, client server) & data base technologies (e.g., hierarchical, relational, & object oriented). *Essential Functions: * • Provides comprehensive consultation to client and data processing management and staff at the highest technical level in the identification and resolution of data and process model information content issues, the transformation of business requirements into logical and physical data base designs, and testing, implementation and maintenance of efficient and secure data bases. • Provides technical support and training and acts as mentor to other data administration staff. • Develops project estimates, plans, schedules and budgets. • Serves as team lead on large projects with multiple data administration staff. • Performs data and process modeling studies and develops detailed information models. • Works with client and DP management and staffs to establish and maintain consistent process and data definitions across computing environments. • Works closely with technical and client management to design and implement data base support tools in support of complex business application development requirements and processes (e.g., diverse development platforms, technological environments, software, hardware, tools etc). • Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective data base solution for the systems design. • Leads development of new methodologies for supporting data administration. • Develops standards and procedures affecting data base management, design and maintenance, data management, data dictionaries and documentation across multiple computing environments. • Prepares written reports of findings and recommendations. • Prepares business requirements reports, feasibility studies, and cost justification statements. *Qualifications * *Basic Qualifications: * • Extensive (usually ten (10) plus years) solid, diverse work experience in information technology in diverse technological environments with a minimum, usually five (5) plus years of significant experience in data and process analysis and modeling, logical data base design, development and integration of corporate models. • Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of equivalent experience in computer science or related discipline. • Excellent analytical ability, strong judgment and problem analysis techniques, an in-depth knowledge of the business unit's functions and applications, and a broad knowledge of diverse data administration methodologies, data base technologies, tools and alternatives. • Excellent communication and consultative skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and other data processing managers. • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment. *Preferred Qualifications: * • Master’s degree or plus in Computer Science or related fields. • Expert knowledge of Oracle 10g or high and relational databases. • Expert knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL including tuning. • Expert Knowledge of Views, Analytical functions, Stored Procedure, Functions. • Experiences of ETL design and tools. • Familiar with UNIX operating systems. • Familiar with healthcare and research data. *Regards,* *Pavan K | Technical Recruiter* *Certified Minority Owned Business Enterprise* *SBA 8(A) Certified Firm* *Avani Technology Solutions, Inc* *722 Weiland Road,Suite 205 ,Rochester NY-14626* http://www.avanitechsolutions.com *Please add *[email protected] <[email protected]> *id in your Distribution list and keep sending your consultants list.* *Direct:* *(585) 351-2945* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
