*Position : Network Security Engineer Location : Atlanta, GA Duration : 12-24 Months Phone and Skype or F2F* *Description* Our client is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a 12-24 month, contract position in Atlanta, GA. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and recommending remediation for risks in technology systems based on industry best-practices and methodologies. This role will also provide technical advisement on design and implementation of new and existing technologies. The preferred candidate will come from a Managed Services background (such as Sunguard, IBM Global, Level 3, Secureworks, etc). Position is primarily focused on security and assessing potential threats. Monitoring the network and escalating pending issues to management. Familiarity with the leading edge technologies and practices within a regulated industry (such as finance and banking). Familiarity with SAS70, PCI regulations, audits, etc. *Responsibilities: * • Monitor and recommend actions based on log entries in intrusion detection/prevention systems, file integrity management, system security configuration, firewalls, and access controls. • Perform application, network, and host-based vulnerability/penetration scans. Analyze findings and coordinate with staff to ensure known vulnerabilities have been addressed. • Lead projects in diverse areas including network security tools, end point security, security risk evaluations, and reviews of new security products. • Investigate security incidents; play a lead role in working with technical forensics. • Evaluate the design and testing of secure infrastructure such as operating systems, networks, and applications that ensure implementation of a secure environment. • Perform scripting and software development of custom security tools to include data aggregation from multiple sources, analysis/trending, and reporting on a regular basis. • Define, track, and report the standard baselines and configuration sets of managed devices (i.e., computers, network components and servers). *Required Skills & Experience:* • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or information security • *3-5 years of information security/information technology experience*, including at least two years of information security experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. • *Security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC is preferred.* • Advanced scripting and software development skills are mandatory. • Experience in conducting security vulnerability assessments including standard penetration testing methods and the tools used to complete evaluations. • Must have a detailed technical understanding of security products such as *firewalls, IDS/IPS, file integrity management systems, data loss prevention, security event monitors.* *• Technical expertise in core infrastructure and layered security (i.e., Windows, UNIX, Cisco IOS, TCP/IP, web security architecture, OSI stack).* *Regards,* *Kailash Negi **VSG Business Solutions* *221 Cornwell Dr,Bear, DE 19701* *Contact No: 302-261-3207 Ext: 103* *Email: kail...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com <kail...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com> Gtalk : usrecruite *[image: View my profile on LinkedIn] <https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=120384244&trk=nav_responsive_tab_profile> Note: If you have received this mail in error or prefer not to receive such emails in the future, please reply with "REMOVE" in the subject line and the email id(s) to be removed.
