Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6+ months*



*SCOPE OF SERVICES  *

•Lead complex web applications & web services testing efforts involving
multiple test resources and coordination with multiple development teams.

•Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quality
assurance procedures to validate various core systems, products, and
processes.

•Define standards, deliverables and processes for unit testing, integration
testing, system testing, acceptance testing, smoke testing and regression
testing.

•Conduct, document and present test results for different types of testing.

•Define and set standards/templates for acceptance test cases, acceptance
testing and test matrices.

•Plan, write, and execute test plans; write, maintain, and verify test
cases.

•Conduct black-box testing, white-box testing and gray-box testing.

•Organize and participate in test plan reviews.

•Setup quality assurance/control processes to work with Agile-Scrum project
management.

•Participate in the execution of test cases required for each project and
question the performance of the software without assistance.

•Prepare non-functional test cases and conduct/document those test cases.

•Plan and design testing tasks assuring quality in all products delivered
to clients.

•Produce detailed metrics to track and manage testing progress.

•Produce reports that reflect open issues for developers and management to
review.

•Drive resolution of complex defects across multiple technology tiers,
developers and business owners.

•Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a
timely manner.

•Identify, log, track and escalate bugs.

•Verify bug fixes through regression testing.

•Define acceptance test conditions and develop accurate/complete test plans.

•Lead and conduct acceptance testing efforts according to plan.

•Develop test matrices, identify test data and use case requirements.

•Automate test processes using test tools and/or test scripts.

•Set up and maintain automated test environments.

•Participate in/contribute to release management process/methodology.

•Write SQL queries to identify and verify data used by code.

•Read logs to identify and verify code functionality and/or error
processing.



*MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE *

*•Minimum 8 years of experience as a QA/Test team member.*

*•Fundamentals of MQ; basic knowledge of UNIX commands.*

*•At least 8 years of experience with HP Quick Test Pro, Load Runner and
Test Director/Quality Center including script development using VBScript is
necessary.*

•Strong understanding of network and security design and the implication of
these on the performance test environments.

•Ability to create automated performance plans and execute tests of all
components of architecture based on the analysis of design documents and
requirements and interprets test results.

•Must be able to communicate with the infrastructure teams to recommend
alternative solutions for addressing application bottlenecks.

•Understanding of a variety of programming languages, architectures, and
standards (e.g., J2EE-Java, n-tier architecture, service oriented
architecture).

•Understanding the development of data driven test cases and creating test
data.

•Ability to create SQL queries and work with SQL editors, basic knowledge
of Unix commands and familiarity with XML files/editors;

•*Strong technical understanding of a variety of programming languages,
architectures, and standards (e.g., J2EE-Java, n-tier architecture, service
oriented architecture); *

*•Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, MQ, Message Broker and BPM Engines.*

•Development experience in Java or .Net technologies will be beneficial.

•Must be able to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance;

•Ability to work independently and be fully responsible for work results.
