*Position : ETL QA Tester Location : Brea, CA Duration : 6+ Months Phone then Skype or F2F GC, USC only * *Job Description:* · Our Direct Client in Brea, CA is hiring a QA Analyst with Insurance domain knowledge and at least 2 years working experience with report testing using SQL, Informatica and Microstrategy. · This project is fast-paced with tight deliverable schedule requiring candidate to be able to self-monitor, report individual progress and impediments accordingly. Excellent time management and communication skills required. *POSITION SUMMARY and PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES* - Under general supervision, evaluates and tests new/modified internally developed and commercial off the shelf (COTS) software programs. Testing includes providing documentation, diagrams, and data flow charts, to ensure freedom from defects and to verify that programs function according to end-user requirements and conform to organizational standards. - Works with business analysts to evaluate software development procedures and recommends program improvements or corrections to ensure adherence to Internal Audit and SOX compliance. - Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. - Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. - Acts as an information resource about assigned areas for other Quality Assuranc Analysts/Engineers. - Actively participates in requirements and design review meetings. Develops comprehensive test plans from functional requirements and design specifications for medium to large scale projects. Develops manual and/or service-oriented architecture (SOA) test cases in black/grey box environments that can be transitioned to automated scripts. - Executes both manual and automated functional/regression and system test cases. - Documents, troubleshoots and isolates problems encountered during testing. Creates test data for applications as needed. Documents test execution results in HP Quality Center.
