| Duties & Responsibilites : | -Support the design, implementation, deployment and support of the next generation of the in-house Enterprise Reporting solution.
-Work with a team of employees and consultants including offshore vender-resourced staff for ongoing support and redevelopment.
-Provide production support for the existing version of the Enterprise Reporting solution as part of a defined rotation.
-Reporting platform, a Java enterprise application for scheduling daily batch and interactive reports.
-Design requirements, help developing technical designs, test cases/scripts, and developing solutions and delivery of reporting projects, across all tiers of the solution.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Java, JEE, Spring, Tomcat and web-services integration, RESTful
- Experience in Messaging Technologies, knowledge of ActiveMQ a plus
- Experience in Webservice calls to Oracle Reports Server, OBIEE, Jasper, Cognos & Tableau is a plus.
- Oracle 11g databases, SQL and PL/SQL and PostgreSQL/MySql
- Shell scripting (ksh, bash, csh, Perl), job-scheduler (Maestro) Desired, Not Required
- Familiar with AWS services and SDK, S3, RDS and related security integration a strong plus
- 2+ years working with _javascript_, Desired not required
- Minimum 5 years of deep expertise in design and development of JEE applications with Oracle databases.
- Ability to operate with less than perfect information and make quick decisions when necessary, and be able to take existing applications and work on enhancements and bug-fixes.
- Experience in working with & guiding offshore development teams desired but not required.
- The initial duration of this engagement is expected to be through the end of this year with strong possibility of extension based on the skillset and fit of the resource within the team, and the growth of the scope of the project.
Required Skills:
- Candidates must have at least 7 years of Core Java and Enterprise Development experience
- Java, JEE, Spring and Tomcat are a must.
- Web-services integration and RESTful Web service coding are required
- 5+ years of Spring and Hibernate exp with different modules, including Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring JPA, Spring Boot a plus
- 3+ years of Messaging Middleware experience (ActiveMQ, JMS or Other)
- 5+ years of ORM Data persistent experience preferable JPA/Hibernate, MyBatis
- 5+ years of RDBMS experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Some UI work is OK, but really looking for core developers.
- Must have Strong SQL Experience.
