* Position : JAVA Developer Location : Waltham, MA* *Durations : 12 + Month contracts* *Interview Process – Phone then face to face* *1. **Senior Software Engineer (Java) – 4 Positions* *Summary:* Designs complex software applications for specific program modules within a bigger application. Codes application instructions into the local environment. Reviews code to ensure compliance with coding standards and to ensure that business requirements are met. Deploys new applications on to the development environment for testing. Reviews the programming code of other developers and makes comments or recommendations for improvements. Prepares documentation on the design process. Works closely within a team that follows an Agile Software methodology. Job Requirements: ü Basic: á Java/J2EE – higher amount of experience here á Event Driven Programming Environment (Vert.x, Node.JS) á Spring/Hibernate á JavaScript / HTML5 (prefer experience with Bootstrap/Backbone) á NoSQL databases (prefer Cassandra experience) á Relational databases (Oracle) ü Applied: á Policies and procedures related to product development á Coding standards á In-depth knowledge of IntraLinks’ products and services á System documentation requirements ü Skills: á Analytical and Problem solving skills á Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills *2. **Senior Software Engineer - J2EE – 2 Positions (1 more front End - HTML5 , Backbone or ExtJS technologies)* *Overview* This position involves designing and developing software in J2EE technology. The Senior Software Engineer develops ideas from a high- level description to a shippable product. The candidate will perform analyses, software design, code, troubleshooting, and unit testing. The Senior Software Engineer is expected to write code that is both functional and elegant. Also involved in diagnosing performance bottlenecks and implementing optimizations. *Responsibilities* • Obtains and reviews requirements from Product Management indicating the business needs and functionalities of the proposed application. • Engages in discussions with Product Management and others on the feasibility of the proposed application and the time necessary to accomplish the work. • Writes detailed design documents describing the approach to be taken and programming details; • Codes application instructions into the local environment. • Reviews code to ensure compliance with coding standards and to ensure that defined requirements are met. Makes recommendations for improvements. • Fixes defects found.
