| Duties & Responsibilites : | - Manages complex application development, infrastructure and technology oriented projects with a track record of on-time execution. - Guides and oversees junior team members. Conducts design reviews of technology projects. - Possesses development experience with Java, J2EE, KShell, Linux/Unix, Perl, Oracle PL/SQL and stored procedures. Knowledge of WebSphere MQ, JMS, WebSphere application server, performance tuning of Oracle and WebSphere. Candidates possessing experience with Oracle RAC, Exadata, or SmartStream TLM reconciliation software will be given special consideration. - Translates user requirements into design solutions. Designs application infrastructure such as specific databases, programming languages, utilities, testing approach, and tools. - Participates in the evaluation and implementation of vendor application software and tools. - Constructs architectural blueprints and roadmaps that describe the current and future state of the utility platform. - Advocates for innovative technology solutions as appropriate to meet client needs. - Resolves system problems affecting primary applications using the appropriate debugging tools and techniques.
