| Duties & Responsibilites : | This position is responsible for developing viable and efficient technology solutions to complex business needs according to customer requirements, following BNSF development standards.
• Support, analyze, develop, test, and implement Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) software application solutions using VoiceXML, _javascript_ and the J2EE, on time, within budget. Synchronize with other technical teams to develop appropriate interfaces.
• Coordinate customer acceptance testing and ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues and ongoing communication.
• Assist in the implementation of Hosted IVR solution using GVP.
• Measure, assess, and improve quality and performance of IVR GVP applications.
• Develop, implement, and test speech-recognition applications using XML.
• Understand and adhere to the BNSF Technology Services Project Management Methodology.
• Follow the BNSF Leadership Model and actively demonstrate commitment to the model.
• Actively support team on common goals, and participate in high team performance.
• Provide 24x7 application and customer support on a rotating basis.
• Perform other special duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 to 8 years Interactive Voice Response application development, preferably with Genesys Voice Platform (GVP). This should include development of speech recognition applications using VoiceXML, XML, XSL, GRXML grammars, Java Technologies.
• 3 to 5 years of application development and support experience using the Java (J2EE) programming language, preferably for web, server, and thin client platforms.
• 2 to 3 years of technical analysis and design using OO concepts and design patterns.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience developing speech-recognition applications using GVP, VoiceXML and GRXML grammars.
• Experience with IBM MQ and IBM IMS Connect.
• Experience with DB2 or other relational databases, IBM MQ, and IMS Connect.
• Experience with VoIP and CTI.
• Experience developing software applications with Java and _javascript_.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communications skills.
