| Duties & Responsibilites : | - Work with internal and external stakholders to serve as the lead resource responsible for the overall design and development of applications and systems while providing leadership and direction to the development teams.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in all phases of design and development and mentor team members as needed.
- Define requirements and create architectural specifications.
- Lead and coordinate development activities and be the anchor of technical expertise with onshore and offshore technical teams.
- Lead status meetings with the development and management teams.
- Communicate to the client and internal teams the architecture and/or solution of a particular project
- Manage the team’s progress against deliverables and milestones and revise them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Support the Software Engineers with coding when required with analysis, design, providing technical solutions, coding, testing, QA support, and implementation.
- Implement engineering excellence by enforcing regular code reviews, continuous integration, high test code coverage, on-going code refactoring and adequate documentation while ensuring correct usage of industry standard software and frameworks.
Skills Required:
- Proven leadership ability in a Technical Lead/Manager role with leading teams both on and offshore
- Experience in a client facing role with internal and external client SME's
- Experience with large-scale projects involving legacy platform migrations, Application Architecture, Performance Management, and QA Automation
- Hands-on development expertise with core Java/J2EE along with a deep understanding of SOA design principles and best practices
- Strong knowledge of Mule ESB platform to deliver SOAP & REST based APIs, working knowledge on the build process, ANT or MAVEN, as well as strong knowledge and development experience with Spring/Hibernate frameworks
- Knowledge of _javascript_, JSP, XML, JQuery, WebSphere, C++, and HTML
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
