Requirements:
- 8 to 12 years related experience in a medium to large network distribution and computing environment.
Detailed understanding of:
Routing protocols: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS VPN, VPLS, Multicast
Switching: 802.1p/q, STP, VRRP Juniper EX, Virtual Chassis, 802.11 WLAN
Security: Layer 2 and 3 firewalls, IPSec and SSL VPN, RADIUS/TACACS, IDS/IPS, 802.1x
Access control: Juniper UAC or equivalent
Data Center: Load Balancing, virtualized switching, inter-VM security
- Strong understanding of emerging business solutions and technologies in the Network Engineering field including competing technologies for high availability, virtualization, wireless network services, device management, and Security.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical decision making skills.
- Excellent English communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate business requirements into technology solutions
- Experience in presenting a plan (strategy, technical, engagement model) to a broad audience and influencing decisions
- Ability to present data in a clear and concise format
- Proven project management skills, including ability to break down projects into smaller tasks, assign timelines, and drive execution.
- Service oriented approach to address technology issues and solutions.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects worldwide at a time
- Understanding of current trends of networking technologies
- Providing direction and mentoring others
- Able and willing to support global organization by working across multiple time zones
- Able to work well in a team, be customer focused, and has a positive outlook
- JNCIE certification or equivalent (CCIE)
- BS Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Unix administration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of writing and troubleshooting shell & Perl scripts
