| Duties & Responsibilites : | - Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of Development, Test QA databases
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
- Ensure high availability and performance (will eventually require 24x7 pager support on a rotational basis)
- Pro-actively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include application DDL rollout and upgrades
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle Database Administration
- Experience with Oracle 11g, versions, 11.1 11.2
- Experience utilizing Oracle OEM 12C
- Extensive DBA experience on Unix Platforms (AIX Linux)
- Experience in Development and Test support roles
- Experience with performance tuning and monitoring
- Experience working as part of a team that delivers a high availability service
- Ability to interact with development teams and various levels of management
- Past experience as an Application Developer is a Plus
- Experience in Unix shell scripting
