*Position : ETL Developer that has specific Mainframe/Job Scheduler
experience Location : Atlanta , GA Duration : 12+ Months Skype then Face to
Face*
*CALL NOTES w/ Manager:*
- Replacement of existing job – contractor had a family emergency
- Historically a JCL/Cobol/Teradata/SQL shop
- Thousands of ETL jobs that populate the DW
- Production support team w/ small enhancements
- Teradata is the main system in their environment (preferable)
- Moving from JCL/Cobol environment to DataStage down the road
- SQL is very important (complex queries)
- *Candidates MUST have the mainframe experience (from the Team Lead) –
UNIX is a “plus”*
- *Also MUST have specific “Job Scheduler” experience as well*
- SQL test during F2F interview
- *4-hour F2F final interview process*
- They will do Skype interviews, just not for the final (1-hr)
*Education:* 4-year College Degree in Information Systems, Computer
Science, or Engineering
*Skills Required: *
1. Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
2. Testable strong SQL with complex queries (5+ years)
3. Experience in using SDLC for medium-large applications development
(5+ years)
4. Experience with Data Warehouse Design
5. Experience translating business requirements to SQL-based ETL
6. Experience with ETL development tools
7. *Mainframe MVS JCL programming (5+ years)*
8. *Mainframe Job Scheduler experience (5+ years)*
9. Experience in detailed applications design that utilize SQL and
utilize the following databases:
Teradata, DB2, Oracle or SQL Server
1. Experience with usage of database utilities
2. Experience with version control software
3. Proficient testing skills – unit, system, and integration
4. Experience with Data Architecture including knowledge of data
modeling techniques, entity relationship diagrams
5. Very good verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate
solutions
*Skills Preferred: *
- Teradata performance tuning skills
- Knowledge of Teradata Utilities
- Experience with ChangeMan MVS code versioning software
- Experience with Zeke MVS Job scheduler
- Experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Server (DataStage)
- Good knowledge of Unix shell scripts

- Must enjoy working in a team environment developing ETL solutions and
detailed designs
- Must enjoy problem solving and working/communicating directly with
business partners
