Duties & Responsibilites :

- On-Going Release / Project Lifecycle
• Collaborate with other Release Managers and Release Owners to extrapolate the Integrated Release Calendar into a specific Release Calendar prior to the start of each calendar year
• Create and update annual release plans in Planview
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our application area to each Application Lead and provide them with general oversight, support and guidance for every project impacting our applications
• Complete any SOX or UDP required deliverables not specifically indicated above
• Obtain individual project status from each Application Lead (project plan progress against milestones and dependencies, project IRAAD, project financials, etc.)
• Generate and distribute weekly Release Status Reports (“5 Ons”) – including tracking of release and cross-project milestones and dependencies, the release-level IRAAD (Issues, Risks, Assumptions, Actions, Decisions) and the release-level Financial Tracking Workbook
• Identify and facilitate the resolution of release-level issues
• Identify and develop mitigation strategies for release-level risks
• Host weekly, internal Release Status Meetings with Application Leads and Tech Lead(s)
• Communicate status weekly to Release Owner and Application Owner – and more frequently in the case of critical issues or risks
• Host monthly Release Status Meeting with our business partners, OM and upstream/downstream applications
• Collaborate with Application Leads to assess impact of individual project Change Controls to overall release delivery
• Solid understanding of customer needs and processes, whether business or IT [Customer Focused]
• Ability to plan effort, track progress and take mitigating steps as needed [Planning / Execution]
• Willingness to develop required deliverables and bring value-added input and structure to release and project discussions; Hands-on contributor [Execution]
• Ability to identify risks and gaps in delivery approach and provide viable suggestions to mitigate those risks or eliminate those gaps [Anticipate]
• Ability to provide a positive support structure for team members; help develop and mentor staff to meet their development goals [Mentorship]
• Ability to effectively operate in a team-oriented environment with individuals from both IT and the business; open approach to knowledge sharing [Collaborative]
• Ability to understand technical solutions to business problems at a high-level [Technical aptitude]
• Ability to understand release / project issues (design, execution, resource, etc.), identify the root cause of the issue, and subsequently offer viable options [Analytical Capabilities]
• Ability to communicate with varying levels of IT and Business management using various communication mechanisms  [Verbal and Written Communication]
