| Duties & Responsibilites : | -The Network Engineer is involved in the design and maintenance of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer network.
-The Network Engineer is a high-level technical analyst, specializing in Local Area Networks (LANs)/Wide Area Networks (WANs), TCP/IP, and server/network infrastructure.
-Office of Administration requires the services of a Senior Network Engineer staff augmentation consultant to serve as the technical advisor for OA/OIT.
-Work with OA/OIT management to validate network designs submitted by a vendor.
-Serve a leading role as a subject matter expert on network architecture on large, complex network deployments and infrastructure projects.
-Work with OA/OIT staff at all levels to assist with the adaptation of the policies and standards associated with implementing a new network infrastructure.
-Research and evaluate emerging IT technologies and practices and develop strategies and plans to implement them at OA/OIT as appropriate.
-Educate and mentor OA/OIT staff in concepts, methods, technologies and practices relating to network architecture.
Required Skills and Experience
-7 – 10 years as a Senior Network Engineer
-7+ years expert knowledge of Cisco IOS, Cisco hardware, Juniper Hardware and JUNOS software.
-7+ years expert knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Service Provider/Extranet networks, Ethernet switching, BGP, EIGRP, SNMP, VPN, MPLS, Traffic Engineering and IPSEC.
-7+ years progressive IT team leadership experience
-Current CCIE and/or CCNP/CCDA certification
-ITIL Foundation Certification
-Outstanding oral communication skills, including public speaking
-Outstanding written communication skills, including writing complex documents
-Senior Network Engineer experience Required 7 Years
-Progressive IT team leadership experience Required 7 Years
