-Able to Design, but also do some front end development work.
-Strong communication skills and willing to work in a collaborative team environment.
-The Web User Interface Designer will interact with creative, account, production, and project management team members to consult on project briefs, content architecture, UI design, and project execution.
-The Web User Interface Designer must have the ability to synthesize complex requirements to generate wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design concepts by implementing creative solutions while working within, and occasionally extending, our existing platform, company, and industry standards.
-Manage web projects from concept to completion
-Identify project teams
-Participate in and conduct creative briefing sessions
-Brainstorm with the creative team and collaborators
-Gather information necessary to deliver effective solutions and clear messaging that meets goals
-Work with Creative Project Coordinator to request quotes from vendors
-Present creative solutions to clients
-Extend approved imagery, design concepts, and copy to auxiliary teams for cohesive application across all touch-points
-Meet budget and deadline goals as defined
-Communicate and document project progress on team collaboration site
-Facilitate final design approval with Creative Manager
-Facilitate final project approval and signoff with project lead
-Record project information in master files including approvals for content, quoting information, etc.
-Ensure consistent brand presence across digital touch points:
-Drive the design and user interface of theclient website by applying the best practices of user-centered design to create intuitive interfaces and interaction layers, a consistent look and feel, wireframes, comps, workflows, and prototypes that are user-friendly, visually appealing, and technically feasible
-Develop and maintain CSS and CMS web management
-Apply consistent and intuitive branding, iconography, structure, navigation, search, and themes throughout the web site
-Create HTML templates, style sheets, site-maps, wireframes, html-mockups, and simple prototypes to test
-Build mockups and storyboards to communicate novel ideas, and work with other designers to identify and document UI/UX standards
-Translate user requirements and complex business problems into highly usable designs in partnership with internal and external customers and collaborators
-Work effectively in a dynamic environment, adapt quickly, and recommend improvements
-Maintain positive, innovative, and solution-oriented working relationships with vendors and customers
-Work independently and within cross-functional teams
-Operate with initiative, set and deliver on goals, consistently meet deadlines, and provide appropriate status on work activities
-General awareness of competitors, industry trends
Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in digital or graphic design, or a related field and work related experience.
-Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
-Demonstrated expertise with Interface Design (UI), Information Architecture (IA), Interaction Design (IxD)
-Clear understanding and execution of user friendly web design and navigation
-Proficient in: Flash, Dreamweaver, CMS (currently Kentico)
-Proficient in current page layout and design software/packages (currently Adobe CS6)
-Working knowledge of email broadcasting (currently Arial)
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
-Knowledge and understanding of Mac OS and Windows environment and browsers
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
-Proven ability to function effectively in a high performance software development environment with strong analytical counterparts
-Ability to analyze and present quantitative data
-Ability to analyze and interpret project-related data and resolve issues that arise
-Polished and flexible interpersonal skills
