Sr. Project Manager

-This position will have the responsibility to deliver medium/large projects or significant segments of a large program.Responsibilities: 
- Functional business facing; cross-functional knowledge essential around generalists/supply chain/warehousing/Ariba experience preferred and must be very business-savvy. 
- Provide team leadership and functional management to project managers/analysts as required. 
- Help align projects with business strategic objectives/drivers. 
- Meet with various levels of management to determine future Project Management Support requirements 
- Manage all aspects of projects in order to deliver approved business functionality 
- Define project scope, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risk, and budget 
- Manage approved projects through the lifecycle, including change requests, issues management, risk management, status reporting. 
- Coordinate project status with the PMO master portfolio plan. Ensure your projects or programs are properly represented. 
- Coordinate with all stakeholders and dependent projects to develop detailed project schedules. 
- Facilitate project meetings to resolve risks, issues, or requests for scope change 
- Track project plan  actual expenses against Budget/POs/CIPs 
- Facilitate communications between stakeholders of dependent projects and management 
- Develop or deliver presentations to executives 
- Apply new techniques and methodologies, or adapt existing techniques and methodologies to solve project-related issues. 
- Assist the PMO with the development and extension of processes, tools, techniques and policies to be used across environment for portfolio and project management 
- Implement project management training programs, provide input on training content, and conduct training as requested 
- Provide mentoring and coaching to EPMO staff regarding performance and career development. 
- On-boarding 3rd party resources as to the role of the EPMO and EPMO processes. 
- Assess third party vendor SOW and CO proposals.


REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 
- Eight years of professional experience 
- Five years as a project manager 
- Prior experience with the use of PMO methodology 
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project 
- Understanding of project financials and measures of performance. 
- Experience and knowledge in all phases of the project management life cycle. 
- Experience in facilitating communications between management and different work streams to resolve issues, including disagreements over resources, priorities, approach, etc. that the parties have been unable to resolve for themselves. 
- Ability to develop and implement new project management and program management processes. This includes the definition of processes, definition and selection of appropriate tools and techniques, as well as development and delivery of appropriate training. Also, coordination of the definition of what will be required to maintain these new processes and tools in production. 
- Must be able to think conceptually, strategically, and creatively with little oversight or direction (i.e. display intellectual leadership vs. simply "do or execute something that was developed or directed by someone else) 
- Very comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. tribal knowledge, redundant or unclear activities) and translating it into clear logical designs 
- Able to distill complex ideas or approaches to their essence and present them in a simplified, yet compelling manner 
- Methodical, hands-on, detail-oriented approach to problem solving 
- Excellent written and oral communication skills 
- Able to develop clear PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences 
- Excellent interviewing, presentation, facilitation and training skills appropriate for both small and large group settings and with audiences ranging from the executive level to middle management 
- Solid team and project management skills to develop implementation plans and drive execution where appropriate 
- Able to identify project risks and proactively work to mitigate them 
- Ability to lead others in the creation of new methods, techniques and tools 
- Able to build high performing teams 
- Detailed knowledge of change management and adoption methods 
- Able to engage, align, and mobilize leaders and stakeholders to build consensus as appropriate 
- Relationship-Building and Interpersonal Skills 
- Ability to be persuasive and build alignment with all levels and across all business unit functions 
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills 
- Takes the initiative to suggest and implement ongoing improvements in own and others' work as appropriate

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
- Bachelor's degree required 
- PMI Certification is strongly preferred
